5 out of 5 stars Well done!!   March 16, 2010
Barbara J. Bills (Sayville, NY)
This is a great product & it was at a very good price, better than anywhere else that I know of, certainly better than Whole Foods!!

1 out of 5 stars ate it.   March 13, 2010

I had to eat Raw Maca Powder while I was staying at a health resort in the Swiss Alps. I had no idea what it was, it looked like mush to me. It has no taste and no noted benefits. A lot of delusional health nuts swear by it but they're misled. It's being sold as a "Incan Superfood", which is blatantly absurd since Incans never ate it. The Treworbli tribe, which was conquered by Incans, ate it.

Anyways, just grab a cheap bag of peanuts, smash them with a hammer and you'll get the same benefits except you'll pay 500% less.

3 out of 5 stars Maca Powder - Navititas naturals   March 4, 2010

This is something I've wanted to try. It's OK but not a favorite. Can't compare to other brands as I have only tried this one.

3 out of 5 stars product ok, packaging stinks   March 3, 2010
Happy Girl (Missouri)
Well, I am excited about the product itself, for what it is purported to do and how healthy it is! The taste is somewhat like beets, but a little milder and sweeter...
However, was very upset when I opened the bag. It is one of those that has its own "ziploc" deal inside, and you have to use scissors to cut the top off before you can open it via the ziploc closure...well, when I clipped off the top, there was Maca powder ABOVE the ziploc deal, so the ziploc deal was not very good. Ok, I thought, no big deal, only about a teaspoon gone...After I tested/tasted, I closed it up and picked it up to put away...and WHOOSH! A whole bunch of maca shot out through the bag onto my counter...this stuff is wayyy to expensive to just be throwing around a few tablespoons around for kicks...so I am really not happy with how it was packaged...and the money I spent and lost...I know it's not much money I lost, but c'mon, like I said, not cheap.

5 out of 5 stars maca is incredible for energy, strength, and improving stamina   February 25, 2010
Tiberius (Fulton)
I love Maca. I add it to my cashew or almond milk that I make with a nut milk maker. I am someone who has to stay away from sugar and anything sweet or processed so making my own nut milk works well except that it is a bit flat tasting so I add Maca and even Nutiva's cacao to it. It adds a nice zing to it as well as making the milk healthier and something to look forward to. If you look at the description on the back of the package it is an Aztec South American food and what some would call an adaptogen which means it strengthens your body and improves your endurance and helps you get thru the day more energized that what most people have. It beats coffee any day as it strengthens your body instead of depleting the adrenals which is what coffee does. You won't hit lows with Maca but you will with coffee. I don't suggest drinking Maca by itself as it isn't that yummy and if you put it into a smoothie, use a teaspoon to start with as it is an adjustment in taste. In my cashew milk drink and it is watered down after I make it, I just do one teaspoon and it gives me plenty of zip. I will add that I use a variety of healthy products in my diet so this isn't the only one. You can look at my other reviews and get an idea of what I am talking about if you are that interested. I love Maca so much that I am never out of it and I have it on autoship so that I can keep my stock of it up. I love it with the Nutiva cacao as both are highly nutritious and the Aztec organic cacao that Nutiva has isn't like Hershey's powdered chocolate; it is pumped full of nutritiion and I never get caffeine reactions to it, so no heart rate pickup. I mention it because I do both. It may well offset the taste of the Maca possibly as Maca isn't that yummy alone. I use it every day I love Maca. Highly recommended.
